Anusha in wonderland Part - 1
Anusha in Wonderland – Part -1
Anusha was a clever little girl studying in First standard. She liked her school very much. Everyday she woke up early in the morning. After taking bath and putting on dress, she went to school and learned many new things. She liked her teacher and teacher also liked her. One day, her teacher asked Anusha to act as teacher in the class. Anusha did not become shy or afraid. She was bold. She went to blackboard and stood there facing children. She told them to recite numbers from 1 to 20. All classmates loudly repeated numbers after her. Teacher was very pleased and gave her a storybook ‘Alice in wonderland’ as a prize.
Anusha came home in joy and sat in her small tent and started reading the book. To her surprise, she saw her own photo on the book. She closed her eyes and saw herself standing before her teacher in a colorful new school building. Her teacher told her. 'Anusha, you are a great teacher. As I am busy, I want you to teach little children playing on the ground.'
Anusha promptly went to playground. There she saw very very small children playing on the ground. She was surprised to note that all these children were having shape of tiny balls. She called one child and asked his name. He said ‘My name is Point’. She called other child and asked the same question. The child again replied ‘My name is Point’. Anusha was confused. She called all children together and asked their names. Everybody said ‘My name is Point’.
Anusha wondered . How come all children have same name? She thought for a moment and decided to give them different names. She asked them to stand in a line. Then she gave them names as point1, point2, point3 and so on. There were total 20 children. It became a long row. Children were happy. Now they can recognize every classmate with a separate name. They started calling each other by name.
Anusha called them and asked them to sit in a classroom. Classroom had small stools for sitting. Anusha arranged stools such that there were 5 rows with 4 stools in each row When the children got seated, she found that it was difficult to know name of the child without asking.
Anusha was very clever. She gave new names to children in a novel way. She thought I should call them by short name P instead of Point and give names such that they will sit in the same way every time. Also I can give name 1 to 5 for each row for all four rows. She drew on blackboard sitting arrangement of children.
She gave names to children in first row as P(1,1), P(1,2), P(1,3), P(1,4) and P(1,5) for children in second row as P (2,1), P(2,2), P(2,3), P(2,4) and P(2,5) and so on. Now she could call any child by name easily. All children liked their new names.
Anusha showed on blackboard how they can form many beautiful shapes like box, shelf, cross, plus and minus signs, swastik by joining hands. All children were very happy. The went to playground and made many shapes as told by Anusha.
Anusha's teacher came and was very pleased to see the children's show. Anusha asked the children to welcome teacher by clapping. The children clapped in joy. The clapping noise was so loud that Anusha woke up from the dream.
Her Mom was calling her for dinner.
